  • Pyrite, often called Fool’s Gold, is a common iron sulfide mineral with a metallic brass luster often forming in cubes or as thin layers on fossils or other minerals such as Pyritized Ammonites.
  • Pyrite Schist is only found in the Hartz region of Germany, which is know for its perfectly formed small Pyrite crystal, in a very black matrix.
