Welcome to Atlantis Rising Crystals.
We’re Allison and Christian, and if you’ve spent any amount of time with us, you’ll quickly discover that we’re probably not what most people expect from a crystal shop.
Atlantis Rising is run by a Leo and a Sagittarius, which means you’re dealing with a lot of fire around here. Expect passion, enthusiasm, spontaneity, adventure, occasional chaos, and a strong tendency to come home from gem shows with things that were absolutely not part of the original plan.
Some of our best treasures have been found that way.
In other words, expect the unexpected.
Allison is a forest goblin with expensive taste.
She was born in Eastern Europe and grew up surrounded by forests, folklore, and stories about Baba Yaga. She loves old stories, sparkles, heart shaped crystals, statement pieces, and anything that feels like it belongs in a fairy tale.
Before crystals, she worked as a massage therapist, a hypnotherapist, and eventually an accountant, which is somehow the plot twist nobody sees coming.
She has a lifelong love of collecting beautiful things. Teddy bears are probably her first love, but the crystals have learned to live with it.
When it comes to sourcing for the shop, Allison isn’t usually looking for what’s trending. She’s looking for that moment.
The moment a piece stops her in her tracks.
The moment she immediately grabs Christian and says, “Look at this.”
The moment she sees something and already knows it’s coming home with us.
Statement pieces are her favorite. The bigger, more unusual, and more unforgettable, the better.
She loves the kind of pieces that make people stop, stare, and wonder how something so incredible could have come from the Earth.
Those are the pieces that make her eyes light up.
The ones that make her heart say, “Wow.”
Christian spent nearly twenty years as a game producer, helping teams of artists, engineers, designers, and testers work together to bring games to life.
His job was part problem solving, part organization, part communication, and part making sure a hundred moving pieces all came together at exactly the right time. These days, he brings those same skills to Atlantis Rising.
If you ask him a simple question, there is a very good chance you will receive a forty minute answer, three supporting articles, and a new business idea.
On any given day, he has approximately 50,000 browser tabs open, several projects he’s excited about, and a level of optimism that suggests all of them can be completed by next Tuesday.
According to his therapist, he is half man, half beast. We are still debating whether this is a compliment.
While our backgrounds couldn’t be more different, Atlantis Rising exists because we each bring our own strengths to the table.
Allison finds the pieces.
Christian builds the systems.
Somehow it works.
Together, we spend our time traveling to gem shows, hunting for beautiful pieces, debating which crystals are coming home with us, and trying to stop ourselves from adopting every shiny thing we see.
Our shipping department is managed by Gus the teddy bear.
Our security team consists of Millie the pug, who takes her responsibilities very seriously.
NugNug specializes in chaos management. He regularly knocks things over and creates problems that did not previously exist.
We also have a baby girl on the way, which means our next gem show assistant is already in training.
Atlantis Rising was never built around selling the rarest crystal on Earth or convincing people they need something they don’t.
In fact, despite the name, we’re not even just a crystal shop.
Over the years we’ve brought in crystals, jewelry, candles, butterfly jewelry, plushies, teddy bears, hair clips, home decor, and all kinds of beautiful treasures.
Our philosophy is pretty simple.
If we love it, there’s a good chance it’s eventually ending up in the shop.
Sometimes that’s a giant statement crystal.
Sometimes it’s a teddy bear.
Sometimes it’s a candle that smells so good Allison won’t stop talking about it.
Sometimes it’s a butterfly necklace, a plushie, or a hair clip that one of us immediately decided we couldn’t live without.
We’re collectors first.
The shop happened because we genuinely love crystals, beautiful craftsmanship, unusual finds, and the wonder that comes from discovering something you’ve never seen before.
Many of the descriptions on our website are simply the real reasons we brought a piece home. Sometimes it’s because we’ve never seen anything like it before. Sometimes it’s because the color stopped us in our tracks. Sometimes it’s because Allison saw a crystal heart and immediately informed Christian that it was coming home with us.
At the end of the day, Atlantis Rising is simply a collection of things we genuinely love, shared with people who love them too.
