Amethyst Heart with Natural Keyhole Formation

I bought this because it was a beautiful amethyst heart.

Then I got it home and discovered something I hadn’t noticed before.

Right in the center of the stone is a natural formation that looks remarkably like a keyhole. The more I looked at it, the more I noticed that the top of the keyhole almost forms a heart shape as well.

The best part is that nobody carved it.

It wasn’t designed that way.

It wasn’t added later.

It’s simply part of the stone itself.

Pieces like this are why I still get excited about crystals after all these years. Sometimes a specimen has a surprise waiting for you that you don’t discover until you’ve spent time with it.

Beyond the formation itself, this is a beautiful amethyst heart with lovely color, internal crystal structure, and a substantial presence on display. It comes with a striking black stand that creates a beautiful contrast against the softer tones of the amethyst.

But if I’m being honest, every time I look at it, my eyes go right back to that natural keyhole.

There is something undeniably romantic about finding a hidden keyhole inside a heart, especially one that was never carved or intentionally created. It feels like a little piece of charm tucked away within the stone, a secret that wasn’t obvious at first glance but reveals itself the longer you spend with it.

Maybe that’s what I love most about this piece.

It feels like a reminder that some of the most meaningful things aren’t immediately visible.
