Usually when we find Nontronite, it is not sitting on this kind of substantial, gorgeous Quartz specimen. This is all one natural piece, which is exactly why I was so excited when I found it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAnd I love that the carving was designed around what nature already created. The green Nontronite became this little frog sitting on his mushrooms while the natural Quartz was left underneath him. The color is completely natural too. Nontronite gets these beautiful greens from the iron in the mineral, and fun little fact, it was actually named after the Nontron area of France, which makes having a French specimen even cooler.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAnd I mean LOOK AT HIM.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHe genuinely looks like a frog you would stumble across after wandering a little too far into an enchanted forest.
